Leadership Mentoring Initiative - School Year 2022/2023

LP founder David Contreras is working on a partnership with Success High School in Round Rock Texas through a young men’s weekly leadership group called “Phoenix Arising Young Men’s Group”. This program has a unique opportunity to work with young men who are in a last chance circumstance to catch-up on their high school credits and earn their high school diplomas. During the school year, in a closed room session every Tue morning up to 30 young men gather for a leadership and mentor session on topics such as: leading & winning in life, ownership of actions, self-worth, initiative, dealing wrong habits or wrong behaviors that may inhibit success, the importance of personal and professional development to grow etc. “TRUST” is such a powerful commodity that has been earned, in order that a deep dive of personal life challenges can be addressed. David is also engaged in “one on one” mentoring for a select group of young men who need more focused attention in their overall development. In addition, through LaunchPad, we are providing partial scholarships to some of the students who are pursuing their education, vocational or trade school training or professional development.
